Ellen Menendez

Ellen earned her Master of Social Work at Florida State University in 2021 and is working on achieving her LCSW here at Social Care Services.

She is a former elementary teacher of 13 years. She has a passion for mental health and is a suicide prevention advocate, which brought her to this field. She has served as a crisis responder for the Florida Crisis Response Team and within Duval County.

Ellen is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) facilitator and practitioner. TBRI is a trauma-informed intervention to help meet the needs of children. Additionally, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and mindfulness to meet clients where they are and assist them in moving forward in their journey.
