BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Christine Walker
Dr. Christine Walker is new to the Jacksonville community, having lived and worked in West Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the majority of her life. She earned her Master of Education degree in Special Education from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and her Ph.D. in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from the University of North Texas. Her professional journey reflects a lifelong passion for empowering individuals with disabilities, supporting their families, and equipping professionals with the tools to foster success and inclusion. Her desire to serve others led to experiences as a self-contained special education teacher, teacher mentor, and special education interventionist.
Dr. Walker provides a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for administering evaluations, interviews, instruction, and training. Along with utilizing person-centered and trauma-informed care, her kindhearted disposition help to build trusting relationships with clients. Her ability to translate evidence-based practices into practical, actionable strategies has made her a trusted resource for educators and families alike.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Walker cherishes her role as a loving wife and mother of two children. In her free time, she enjoys unwinding at the beach, which reflects her love for nature and the importance of balance and rejuvenation in her life.
